Itinerary ;

 

Day 1 - Wednesday : Athens - Arrival
Upon our arrival in Athens transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Athens.


Day 2 – Thursday : Athens
After breakfast enjoy a half-day morning tour of Athens, combining many of the cities principal modern and classical sights. Drive by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896). See the Presidential Palace (ex Royal Palace), government buildings and elegant homes. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and see the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library and Omonia Square. In contrast, we visit the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the crowning beauty and glory that was Athens, the Acropolis with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including the awesome Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheum with its Porch of Maidens. We also visit the new Acropolis Museum. Return to the hotel. Free afternoon. Overnight in Athens.


Day 3 – Friday : Embark on Cruise Ship

After breakfast transfer to the port of Piraeus where we embark on our cruise ship, our home for the next seven days. At 11am we sail to Istanbul, Turkey.


Day 4 - Saturday : Istanbul (TURKEY)

Very early morning crossing the Dardanelles Straits. Breakfast on board. At 9:00 a.m. we arrive in Istanbul, one of the world's greatest historic cities. Formerly Byzantium, the center of the Eastern Roman Empire, this city is built on seven green hills and situated astride two continents. East meets West in every way. We will enjoy an optional tour of the city including Agia Sophia with its Byzantine mosaics, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. At 7pm. sail to Myconos.


Day 5 - Sunday : Myconos (GREECE)

In the afternoon experience the cosmopolitan island of Myconos, which offers the perfect combination of a sophisticated yet charming Cycladic island life. You can stroll at leisure through the whitewashed, flower-decked alleyways, climbing to the sculpture church of Paraportiani and then along the waterfront of «Little Venice» to the well-known windmills. Sail in the evening.


Day 6 - Monday : At Sea

Today we enjoy the ship facilities or worship. 


Day 7 – Tuesday : Ashdod (ISRAEL)

Breakfast on board. At 7:00 a.m. our cruise-ship will dock at Ashdod. Israel’s largest port is located on the Mediterranean Sea coast. Just a short drive from Ashdod are the towns of Jerusalem and Bethlehem that we will visit in our optional tour. The sites we will see include the Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, site of Jesus' crucifixation, Wailing Wall and Church of the Nativity. At 8pm sail to Port Said, Egypt.


Day 8 – Wednesday : Port Said – ALEXANDRIA (EGYPT)

Breakfast on board. At 6:00 a.m. we dock at the port of Port Said in Egypt, which is the starting point of our optional shore excursion to visit Pyramids, the Sphinx and enjoy a dinner on a Nile Cruise boat. After the guided tour, transfer to the port of Alexandria. Founded in 331 BC by Alexander the Great, Alexandria was once considered the greatest city in the ancient world; today considered the 2nd largest city in Egypt. Embarkation as from 5:30 p.m. Sail for Aghios Nikolaos Crete, Greece at 7:45 p.m. Dinner & overnight on board.


Day 9 – Thursday : Agios Nikolaos, Crete (GREECE)

Breakfast and lunch on board. At 5 p.m. our cruise-ship will dock at Aghios Nikolaos, the capital of Lassithi province in Crete, one of the most picturesque towns of Crete, located in peaceful Mirabello Bay.It takes its name from the charming 7th century AD Byzantine chapel of Aghios Nikolaos.We will enjoy our free time at this peaceful town of Crete which flourished under Venetian rule in the 12th & 13th centuries. At 8:30 p.m. sail to Piraeus, Athens.


Day 10 – Friday : Athens – Departure

Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for our departure flight.
