Classical Tour with Delphi

Itinerary ;

 

Day 1 : Arrival to Athens
Welcome to Greece. Upon your arrival in Athens Airport our representative will meet and assist in your transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Athens. (D)

 

Day 2 : Half Day Athens Tour
After breakfast enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the cities principal modern and classical sights. Visit the Acropolis and drive by the House of Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896), the Presidential Palace and the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Athens. (B,D)

 

Day 3  : Athens – Corinth Canal – Epidaurus – Mycenae - Olympia
Depart from your hotel at 08:45 am. CORINTH Canal (short stop). Drive to EPIDAURUS to visit the ancient theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then to MYCENAE where you visit the archaeological site and then depart for OLYMPIA, through the central Peloponnese area passing through the provincial towns of TRIPOLIS and MEGALOPOLIS. Dinner and overnight at hotel in OLYMPIA. (B,D)

 

Day 4 : Olympia – Rion –Nafpaktos – Delphi
In the morning visit the archaeological site and museum of OLYMPIA. Drive via PATRAS to RION, cross over the new suspended bridge, considered to be the largest and most modern in Europe. Arrive in NAFPAKTOS, then continue to DELPHI. Dinner and overnight at hotel. (B, D)

 

Day 5  : Delphi - Athens
In the morning visit the archaeological site and museum in DELPHI. Then start the drive back to ATHENS.
The most outstanding classicalsites are visited on thistour, reminding the visitor of the glory that was Greece. After the tour transfer back to your hotel. Overnight stay in Athens. (B,D)

 

Day 6 : Home
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for your flight back. (B)
