Classical Tour with Meteora

Itinerary ;

 

Day 1 : Arrival to Athens
Welcome to Greece. Upon your arrival in Athens Airport our representative will meet and assist in your transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Athens. (D)

 

Day 2 : Half Day Athens Tour
After breakfast enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the cities principal modern and classical sights. Visit the Acropolis and drive by the House of Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896), the Presidential Palace and the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Athens. (B,D)

 

Day 3 : Athens – Corinth Canal – Epidaurus – Mycenae - Olympia
Depart from your hotel at 08:45 am.CORINTH Canal (short stop). Drive to Epidaurus (visit the archaeological site and the theatre, famous for its remarkable acoustics) and then on to Nauplia (short stop). Drive to MYCENAE where you visit the archaeological site, then depart for Olympia, through he central Paloponnese area passing the cities of MEGALOPOLIS and TRIPOLIS. Dinner & overnight in OLYMPIA. (B,D)

 

Day 4 : Olympia – Rion – Nafpaktos - Delphi
In the morning visit the archaeological site and the museum of Olympia. Drive via PATRAS to RION, across the channel to ANTIRION on the state of the art new suspended bridge considered to be the longest and most modern in Europe. Arrive in NAFPAKTOS, then continue to DELPHI. Dinner & overnight in DELPHI. (B,D)

 

Day 5 : Delphi – Kalambaka
In the morning visit the archaeological site and museum of DELPHI. Depart for Kalambaka. Drive through AMPHISSA, LAMIA and TRIKALA. Arrive in KALAMBAKA for dinner and overnight at hotel. (B,D)

 

Day 6 : Meteora – Thermopylae – Kammena Vourla - Athens
In the morning, visit the breathtaking rocky formations of METEORA and in the early afternoon start the drive back to Athens passing via THERMOPYLAE (visit) and KAMMENA VOURLA. The most outstanding classical sites are visited on this tour, giving the visitor a full view of glorious ancient Greece. After the tour transfer back to your hotel. Overnight stay in Athens. (B,D)

 

Day 7 : Home
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for your flight back. (B)
