ATHENS SHORE TOURS

 

Tour 1 : Half Day ATHENS half-day SIGHTSEEING from Pireaus incl. visit of the Acropolis ( 4 hours )

 

Our guide & driver will be at the port to start from there the orientating tour of Athens, passing by the most important ancient and modern monuments of Athens:

City centre - Syntagma (Constitution) Square - Panathenian Stadium - The House of Parliament (ex Royal Palace) - National Park (ex Royal Gardens) - The memorial to the Unknown Soldier - The Academy - National Library - Presidential Palace - Change of the Republican Guards (Evzones) - Zappion Congress Hall - Temple of Olympic Zeus - Hadrian's Arch - Herod Atticus Odeon.

We will finally reach the foot of the Acropolis, the most impressive of all  ancient monuments and a masterpiece of  Classical Greek architecture.

Our guide will take you through the site and give a thorough introduction of its history,  Also the Areopague can be visited  the sacred place where Paul divined himself before the philosophers and where he passed an Altar to the Unknown God.

 After the guided visit some time at leisure will be given at this impressive location  opportunity to explore more details of the site, take pictures and enjoy the panoramic view over the city  one can see as far as the Southern suburbs of Athens and the Saronic Islands lying close to the port of Piraeus.

Then the guide will take the clients back to the waiting coach for the return-transfer to the port of Piraeus.

SUNDAY-surcharge
In case the tour takes place on a Sunday, there will be a SURCHARGE
of EURO 100,00 in total (not depending on group-size) due to a surcharge we are obliged to pay to the guides (is arranged by law).

 

Tour 2 : Full Day PRIVATE tour from/to PIRAEUS ( 8 hours)

Our guide & driver will be at the port to start from there the orientating tour of Athens, passing by the most important ancient and modern monuments of Athens:

After some time at leisure we will descend on foot to the Plaka  the old part of Athens, lying on the slopes of the Acropolis.

After this, time for a stroll and some souvenir hunting (our guide can help and give advise if wanted) before we meet the coach again for return to the port for embarkation.

Tour 3 : Athens by night & Greek Folk Dances Show

Your evening will start with a ride to the port of Pireaus, passing by the marina of Zeas (private yachts) and a short stop at the famous Mikrolimano, where you will enjoy a drink of ouzo with Greek appetizers. Then you will drive back to Athens, to the old town (Plaka), for dinner in a typical Greek Tavern with bouzouki music and Greek folk dances.
