Your private guide will meet you at your Athens Hotel at the pre-arranged time. After meeting with your professional guide, start your journey in the birthplace of Western civilization, our excursion is based on the footsteps of the Apostle Paul in visit Corinth and after Athens. Our drive will take in some of the most dramatic sights of both the Saronic and Corinthian Gulfs on the Peloponnese. We stop to overlook the spectacular man-made Corinth Canal from the bridge.

We then walk and admire ancient Corinth, one of the richest cities of the ancient world and discover where the Apostle Paul introduced the word of God and wrote the I and II Corinthians, this megalopolis where he came and worked, established a thriving church, subsequently sending two of his epistles now part of the New Testament. Here, we see all of the sites associated with his ministry and also visit the small local archaeological museum. In Romans 16:23 Paul mentions his friend Erastus and we will see an inscription to him at the site. Then we view from our bus the ruins of early Christian 5th century basilica in Cenchreae before returning in Athens. It was the eastern harbor of Corinth, on the Saronic Gulf, from where Paul sailed for Ephesus (Acts 18:18) during his second missionary journey.

After lunch break, we drive to Athens. Welcome to Athens (Acts 17:15)! Travel in time, through the city with a history of more than 5,000 years!

We stars our tour with marble-capped Acropolis, the sacred rock of Athens. We will see the Parthenon that was dedicated to the goddess Athena, Propylaea, the monumental entrance to the sacred area, the temple of Athena Nike which was dedicated to Athena-Nike, the Erechtheion with its famous female figures-statues the Caryatids or maidens dedicated both to Athena and Poseidon.

The Acropolis Hill has a view of the Ancient Agora, the Tower of the WindsHerodes Atticus odeon, and the Theatre of Dionysus. You will have a chance to see them from Acropolis Hill.

Continue with the nearby Mars Hill (Areopagus) to read Acts 17:22 where the Apostle Paul gave his famous speech to the Athenian philosophers (Acts 17:18-34) and spoke about the inscription: “to an unknown god”. Before our return to the port, we drive to the coastal residential suburb of Faliro to see the small church where Paul arrived by ship from Macedonia. At that time Falerum that was main port of Athens.
