Our tour starts with Hagia Eirene Church. It was built by Constantine the Great and dedicated to peace of God which is the one of the God’s Attributes together with Hagia Sophia ( Wisdom), Hagia Dynamis (Force). The First council of Constantinople took place in this church in 381 AD. After a short walking after the Hagia Eirene, we are going to visit Underground Cistern which was the largest covered water reservoir in Istanbul, built by Justinian I. Later we are going to drive to Chora Church where the mosaics are breathtaking. You are going to see well-preserved wall mosaics from 14th century AD.
Our last stop will be Spice Market : The air here is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice. Drive back to the port through Golden Horn.

Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesdays. Underground cistern will be substituted.
Grand Bazaar is closed on Sundays and during Ramadan Holiday ( 3 days ) and Sacrifice Holidays ( 4 days ). Spice Market will be substituted on Sundays.

Blue Mosque is closed till 14.30 on Fridays. Brief information will be given in the garden of Blue Mosque.

Dress Code in St. Sophia and Blue Mosque : Dress code is required to enter places of worship such as churches, monasteries, mosques, synagogues and selected museums. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. Shoes are not to be worn in mosques. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements.

Terrace Housese
Terrace Houses is located on skirt of Pion Mountain. There are 6 residential units which were built on three man-made terraces. These houses were settled by wealty citizens of Ephesus. These houses were very fancy decorated with wall frescoes and floor mosaics. There are many steps to ascend from bottom to top.
